Please follow the below notes if you are about to install IQChinese Reader V3.5 on a computer which has a previous version of Reader (V2.0 or V3.0) installed.

1. For V2.0 users trying on V3.5 is suggested to save your articles first. Without saving, after the 14 days of V3.5 trial version, when you want to downgrade it back to V2.0, you will lose all the articles which you created or edited before. (There is no need for V3.0 users to follow this step.) For V2.0 users to save your articles: click open "My computer", go to "C:\Program Files\IQChinese\IQChinese Reader\BOOKS", Open the "Book" folder and copy & paste all the files to another folder, ex: My Document.

2. After finished step 1, you may begin your installation of IQChinese Reader V3.5. Double click the "Setup for IQChinese Reader V3.5.exe" file to launch the installation of Reader V3.5. The installer will first un-install any previous version of Reader. During the un-installation of previous version, you will be asked to confirm if you want to keep the files from your previous version of Reader and have them transferred to Reader V3.5. These files include all the saved articles, vocabulary added to "My Learning Bank" (Reader V3.0) or "My Word Bank" (Reader V2.0).

3. After previous version of Reader has been un-installed, double click "Setup for IQChinese Reader V3.5.exe" file again to begin the installation of Reader V3.5.

4. After installation completes, Reader V3.5 can be directly registered with V3.0 product key, and V2.0 users will need to obtain new V3.5 product key to register for use. 14-day trial option is available by default.

Special instructions for users who want to downgrade Reader V3.5 back to V2.0 and save/transfer all files (articles and vocabulary) back:

1. Un-install IQChinese Reader V3.5

2. Install IQChinese Reader V2.0

3. When Reader V2.0 is installed, go to "My Computer", then go to the folder which you have saved earlier and copy all the files and paste to "C:\Program Files\IQChinese\IQChinese Reader\BOOKS". When is done, all the articles that you have created or edited before will be back to your Reader V2.0.
